Another really easy one.
Prep time 10 minutes. (serves 4)
Get 500 grams (1/2 a pound) of skinless chicken breasts from the meat section of a handy supermarket/butcher/store.. just get them.
Grab some kind of mixed spice... like cajun or even pepper steak.
Sprinkle liberally in the chicken.
Throw the chicken in to a hot pan with a splash of olive or canola oil.
Cook for a few minutes each side.
Serve with Monster Salad.
*If you don't have 4 to feed cook it all anyway and eat it stir fried the following day or have a cold chicken breast for lunch!
Again... I had a starting weight more than 100 kilograms (220 pounds) if I was starting at 90kgs (200 pounds) I might consider splitting this in to 5 or maybe 6 serves.
Start thinking about how much you REALLY need and adjust accordingly.
It doesn't work the other way though... this is a maximum serving size for the experiment. If you have a starting weight of 200 kilograms (440 pounds) that doesn't mean you have to pile on double this amount.

So, basically it's about 1/2 a breast per person, is that about right, Andrew?
ReplyDeleteI'm on day 10 now, and I've not tried the chicken recipes yet, cause I don't want to over-eat (which is really easy to do with chook).
Cheers!
Pete
I usually get a 500gm (1 pound) pack of chicken breasts and that would usually do Mrs Blobmosis and I for 2 meals.
ReplyDeleteIf you want to feel like there is more chicken, get a meat hammer, place the chicken breasts underneath some food wrap and give them a good seeing to (smooth side of the hammer)
ALSO...
Careful what kind of chicken you buy.
Those massive chicken breasts that you often find are full of water - the easiest way to tell is if there is a warning on the pack about not refreezing the product.
Fresh and small are tastier anyway.
Hope that helps
